Instructions for Use of Whitening Splint

To achieve the best possible results from your whitening treatment, please follow these instructions carefully:

• Brush and rinse your teeth thoroughly before each use.
• Apply a small amount of whitening gel inside the splint, on the surface of each tooth to be whitened. Ensure the splint is completely dry before applying the gel.
• Wear the splint for one (1) hour. Use a tissue to remove any excess gel and to manage saliva buildup. After one hour, remove the splint, rinse it thoroughly, and dry it so it’s ready for the next use.
• If instructed to wear the splints for two (2) hours, reapply fresh whitening gel after the first hour, making sure to wash and dry the splint before the second application.
• Mild sensitivity during the first few days is normal. If this occurs, apply fluoride gel to the clean, dry splint and wear it for 4 minutes. After removing the splint, do not rinse or eat anything for at least 30 minutes. Fluoride application can also be done just before whitening.
• If sensitivity is strong, skip one day and resume treatment the next. For severe or persistent sensitivity, or if you have any questions, please contact us.
• To maintain your bright smile, repeat the whitening process for about one week every 4 to 6 months, depending on your lifestyle habits.
• During the whitening period, try to limit smoking and avoid foods or drinks with strong pigments, such as tea, coffee, red wine, etc.
